Wedding Tip Wednesday! Are your ceremony & reception in two different locations? Don't forget to account for travel time! ... The ceremony is over and now it's time for everyone to head to the reception location, but what could take me 10 minutes, could take someone else 30 minutes. You and your fiance will want to take photos with the family at the ceremony site and probably at the reception as well. SOLUTION: Build in an additional 30 minutes into your cocktail "hour" to allow all your guests time to get to the reception without feeling rushed. It depends on what you want your guests to remember from your wedding. The music? The centerpieces? The food? I think every vendor is important and plays a key role. What I recommend is listing your priorities of vendors from greatest importance to least importance and go from there. What I would suggest is to have a smaller bridal party. Limit it to 1-2 people per side which will cut down on gifts to get them and cost of hair/makeup OR cut out favors! Here’s my advice we usually will have the DJ announce that this is an unplugged wedding. Having family tell people before hand is always a big help, but we also recommend signage.
