Come get a treatment, say thank you and good luck. Pam will be missed but we’re excited about her next adventureTake some time to read her medium post, Hiatus from Healing, A 2020 Love Letter to my clients and colleagues. virtualcharms.medium.com or link in bio @pamgilmourlac Thank you Pam #thankyoupam #gratefulforyou #goodluckpam #hellotech #goodbyebutnotforever

As the clinic falls under healthcare operations as an essential business, we will remain open during the Shelter in Place Order that was issued on 12/4 (and that goes into effect tonight at 10pm). In order to increase social distancing, we will also reduce the number of patients that can be seen in the treatment room. More information is coming soon on changes to the schedule. We’ll keep everyone posted here, in newsletters and on the online schedule. As always, thank you for your understanding and for keeping yourself and others safe and healthy. #staysafe #wearamask #quarantine #stayhealthy

From a recent Yelp review: I have seen all practitioners and the notes they take on whatever I am going for are fluid so everyone who works on me knows exactly where I am in the process of the treatment. We chart well @circleca and we read your chart before you arrive so we’re prepared. It could be your 2nd visit or your 125th, we know what you’ve treated in the past and if you’ve been coming regularly we know how you’re responding to treatment too. Continuity of care is ex...tremely important to us so know that you’re in good hands no matter who you see for acupuncture Thank you Sally S for the fantastic reviewSo glad your hot flashes are gone and that you felt cared for at the clinic /// Openings today 11-7, tomorrow 2-6 and Sunday 11-3. #acupuncture #communityacupuncture #wewilltakecareofyou #menopause #hotflashesbegone #hotflashes See more

Please consider making a donation to the clinic today! It’s hard asking for donations during a global pandemic but the clinic needs financial support more than ever right now. We want to keep acupuncture affordable and accessible. Our patients pay what they can along our sliding scale of $25-55, no questions asked. With access to acupuncture, they can manage pain, stress and treat both acute and chronic conditions. Every dollar, every donation makes the clinic stronger and more sustainable and in turn that helps our community feel stronger and healthier Use the link in bio to give todayThank you for your support #givingtuesday #donatetoday #supportnonprofits #supportus #communityacupuncture #healthycommunities #affordableacupuncture

Three emperors! Three points often used together by the late, great well respected Master Tung. We use these points ALL the timeLocated on the spleen meridian but they have a a strong effect on the kidneys. Wonderful for hormonal symptoms especially those related to menopause or menstruation also beneficial for fertility, urinary difficulties and edema, especially in the lower body. Love love these points! Maybe you’ve had them @circleca in the past? /// Appointments today with Claudia after 5pmCome get a treatment #mastertung #threeemperors #acupunctureformenopause #acupunctureforfertility #acupunctureforeverything

I don’t know how this memoir by Meghan O’Rourke came into my hands but I couldn’t stop reading it last week. O’Rourke tells the story of her mother’s cancer diagnosis, treatment and her death. I cried all over itO’Rourke’s personal story, her discussions with her loved ones and experts on grief and death made me examine and explore past and present grief. I that peppered through her writings are poems by John Ashbery, the words of Virginia Woolf and other writers and poets.... Read this book or check out some of the resources included in O’Rourke’s further reading section. (Sorry if they are cropped. Social media is not for me) /// Do you have any books about grief or dying that you found helpful? Other ways that helped you to process loss?Bereavement groups, exercise, meditation, good food?? Autumnis linked to the Lungs in Chinese medicine so here we have Adeliz showing the location of Lung 7. It’s located about 1.5 inches from the wrist. It’s great for early signs of a coldsore throat, cough, runny nose, low energy and because of it’s location on the body, it can be used for wrist pain or pain in the index finger and thumb. Some practitioners also use it for head and neck pain since this point is considered the command point of the head and neck. Can you find Lung 7? Adeliz still has some appointments available tomorrow between 1 and 3. Good news! Ninah Hofmann will work October 2nd and 9th while Claudia is away. Ninah has been practicing acupuncture since 2005. She’s passionate about community acupuncture and founded Community Acupuncture Works on 24th street in 2008. Sadly, CA works had to close in June so she is super excited to have the opportunity to sub for Claudia at Circle and reconnect with patients again. We’re so appreciative of Ninah that she can step in and see patients next month. @circleca and @communityacupunctureworks go way back because community acupuncture clinics support one another tooNinah’s schedule is already filling up so book your appointment soon #community #communityacupuncture #communityacupunctureworks #bookyourappointmenttoday #takecareofyourself #takecareofeachother

Just in time for autumn, a few perfect pears arrived at Circle this week from a generous patient. The season autumn in Chinese medicine is associated with metal, making it a good time to work on setting limits and protecting boundaries Autumn is also a time of introspection, grief and nostalgia. With the pandemic, months of quarantine and political/social/environmental events and upheavals, many of us have already been rolling around and working through these places alread...y. Wishing you all some ease as you move through this season If you need a little support, the clinic is here for you /// Claudia has a few more appointments on her schedule today. Today is our last Thursday shift with Claudia until October 15th when she returns from visiting family. You can also see Claudia tomorrow, Friday 2-6 before her time off. More announcements to come on who will cover for Claudia on Friday October 2nd and 9th. We’ve been seeing more patients with painful, dry irritated or tearing eyes and headaches. Our recent poor air quality and increased screen time are probably part of the problem. Chrysanthemum flower to the rescue! This flower is soothing to the eyes and the Liver. Perfect if you’re feeling all of the symptoms above and for helping you de-stress. Get yourself to @rainbow_grocery where they’ve recently reopened their spice and herb bulk section(read their new guidelines on b...ulk purchases before grabbing the jar). Throw 4-5 dried flowers in a mug. Pour hot water over them and let it steep for 15 minutes. Strain out the flowers and drink /// Last minute cancels today = acupuncture available for YOU at 1:30 and 2:30. #herbaltea #herbsforyoureyes #stressrelief #headacherelief #herbsforheadaches #acupuncture #communityacupuncture #rainbowgrocerysf See more
