June 15th, marks the year anniversary of the Sherpa Fire. Looking back, we are amazed by how close we came to devastation and how lucky we are to have survived such a serious, natural disaster. Today, we are reminded of all the people that helped us and kept our ranch safe, as well as the beauty that arises from disaster; the silver lining. Our canyon has come a long way since last year. The ground that was once charred from the fire, is now covered in a blanket of wildflow...ers that have laid dormant for years. We feel blessed to be surrounded by such an active and caring community that extended any help they could, during a time of high stress and unknown. Whether it be Equine EVAC who helped us evacuate our horses, the independent horse owners that lent us their trailers, Earl Warren Show Grounds for offering shelter, concerned guests who visited the wranglers & horses, or anyone who sent us prayer & positive thoughts, we are thinking of you and are forever filled with gratitude. And to all the hardworking and selfless firefighters that put their lives on the line to protect our beloved Circle Bar B Guest Ranch and Refugio Canyon, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We are so lucky to continue to share the ranch’s 78 year legacy with you all! See more
