Protip 016: Capturing consistent recordings. Say you're working on a track with an artist over multiple sessions. It can be hard to mimic the same levels as the previous session. Don't worry about it. Gather relative levels throughout your sessions and once you hit the point of mixing; buss the vocals and limit them at a variable that you desire. From there, send them once again to an effects buss where you can process the vocals all at a relative level. This will cut an editing step out, increase workflow and in sometimes act as a quick fix for a rough mix.
