I noticed something weird about Disney Princesses lately. Naturally, I had to examine it through the lens of science. The answer led me to new knowledge about h...uman development, the domestication and taming of animals, and why we find things cute in the first place. You’ll never look at cartoons the same way again.

When it comes to being resilient and successful in this world, have a good perspective (or Challenge Attitude in Hardiness jargon) is important. Mike Rowe does a great job of explaining where your passion ought to be.

When life starts stressing you out, criticizing the world and shaking your fists is a big waste of energy. Remind yourself that these actions do nothing to solve the problem. Focus on the aspects of your situation you actually have some control over, and then commit yourself to an action that will lead to resolving the stress.

I'm amazed at how some people will post things on Facebook, speaking out against something they consider an injustice or wrong, and do it in such a hateful and self-righteous way that they end up looking just as bad. "Keeping it Real" does not equal "Being a Bitch!" Sure, most of us can handle reading it. However, imagine adding up all of those harsh negative moments from your day. Negativity adds up and has an negative influence on you. Life is too short. Would you rather have 15 extra minutes of angst or 15 extra minutes of solutions, motivation, creativity and love. Always ask yourself "is this a good and positive thing in my life?" If not, you might want to familiarize yourself with that "unfriend" button.
