Christi's Place 11.01.2021

In the 80's there was a scary virus that everyone thought would kill us all. Children were the least likely to get it. And yet we didn't shut everything down. In fact, we didn't shut anything down. And while there is still no cure for it, there are drugs to manage it. But before they were developed, NO ONE made a law that forced healthy Americans to stop engaging in the acts that might spread the virus. Yes,I'm talking about AIDS. And when we identified it, and figured out ho...w it was transmitted, we didn't make it illegal to have unprotected sex. We didn't shut down bars, with the notion that all bad decisions must come from having a cocktail and/or having some fun. We let people know it was out there, we gave guidelines on how to avoid getting it, and we let people make their own choice. WE GAVE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE A CHOICE!!! Why don't we have a choice now? Why can't we just sign something saying YES, I know the risk I'm taking, and NO, I won't take a ventilator or a hospital bed. I know people have died, and I don't mean to dismiss the pain that Covid-19 has caused, but we all take risks in life. I just feel like I should be allowed to make my own choices, and my customers should be able to make their own as well. Don't shut me down and let Costco, Walmart and Target bask in the wake of a so called 'epidemic', while us 'mom and pop shops' suffer. Everyone I know believes the same thing-let me make my own educated decision! BTW- shutting down bars and restaurants is NOT going to make a difference! Even the most Covid-19 phobic people I know cheat! They won't go out in public, but they'll go to a house party! Lol, can't blame them. We're all human, and we wouldn't be if we didn't socialize. I think it's time to make a stand. I'm out of money anyway, so I don't really have much to lose. Sunday, August 30th. Let's plan something. Bar and restaurants, churches, hair and nails salons, anyone that feels they have a right to be a free American! Let me know if you feel like I do! And if you don't, I'd still like to hear from you. It's better to form an opinion if you have more than one view. See more

Hey guys and girls of every color of the rainbow. I run a bar that will ALWAYS judge you by your actions. I kind of of have to. I sell alcohol, which I'm pretty sure doesn't discriminate. If you're a bitch, you're a bitch. If you're a dick, you're a dick. No one cares about the shade of your skin here. I just hope we all believe this when I say that this second shut down is bullshit! Over the f'ng flu!? I don't mean to minimize the people that have died, and I don't want to sound unsympathatic, but really I'm over it! Whatever, I'll see you on July 28th!

We're going to be closed until further notice. I wanted to stay open as much as possible, but it doesn't make sense for us right now. I'll keep you posted on when we plan to open again. Stay safe, and we hope to see you soon!

We will be open tomorrow at 2pm. And Wed, and Thurs, and Fri, and Sat. And every day (except Sun, because we're already closed) and every day until they tell me I "can't" be. And then I would like a more clear definition of why I "can't" be. At this point I do NOT agree with any notion that I, or any business like mine, posses a threat to the health and welfare of my patrons. I understand the reason for concern, but I think certain actions have gone WAY too far! Please don't come in if you're sick, or think you might have been exposed. But other than that, I'm open for business until they cuff me or fine me until I can't afford to keep the doors open! Hope to see you soon!!!!
