Where I like to say the magic happens Hair Theory takes pride in keeping you safe and comfortable! With us you can relax and enjoy your shampoo safely.... We installed partitions between each shampoo bowl to ensure our clients well being. I love putting that magic touch on my clients service with a complimenting gloss or conditioning treatment at the shampoo bowl. What’s your favorite part of your salon service? I’m willing to bet it’s at the shampoo bowl

Celebrate yourself - February feels! Not to be cliché with Valentine’s Day coming, but I am going there Practicing self-love and self-care is essential! I know it can seem unnecessary when we feel things like our jobs are beating us down. Especially as the pandemic is weighing on us, sometimes we feel like we’re not doing enough for the kids or maybe our houses are a mess while juggling work with new conditions or like for many of you homeschooling at the same time.... Listen: You need to know that you’re enough. You are complete with or without a partner. You are enough just as you are. Megan Markle Instead of allowing the world to influence how we feel about ourselves, focusing on self-care, positive encouragement, and self-love can help boost our self-esteem and self-confidence. So what does self-care mean exactly? It can be different things to different people. It could be surrounding yourself with anti-anxiety remedies like lavender and practicing mindfulness. Perhaps it's making sure you have time every day to exercise, or meditate. Choosing a healthy meal or booking yourself that hair or nail appointment Self-care is essential, and even more important now than ever! Go ahead and give yourself permission to celebrate yourself #ochairstylist #orangecountyhairsalon #ochairdresser #orangecountyhair #ochairsalon #orangecountyhairstylist #huntingtonbeachhairstylist #huntingtonbeachsalon #huntingtonbeach #hbhair #hbhairstylist #hbblonde #hairoc #hairorangecounty #loveyourhair #huntingtonbeachlife #surfcityusa #salonhaircare#salonhairstyle #salonhaircut #hblifestyle #occolorspecialist #oclifestyle #ocwanderlust #surfcityhb

When you need stress reduction and relaxation, call upon a safe and sacred place. For me it’s the beach. I love the beach so much because of the vibes I get being there. The feeling of being very small next to the vast ocean and the rhythmic push and pull of the waves. Rhythm is comforting and structured, where there is an ebb, there is flow. We can count on it. Standing next to the ocean, I’m guessing you didn’t even question whether the tide would come back after it’s re...treat. So why is it so hard for us to trust the rhythm of our own lives? Yes, there are many variables that come into play, The one thing we can count on in life is change. Let’s learn to use this to our advantage while we’re waiting for the tide to return. How much better would we feel if we could learn to ride this wave of discomfort, always remembering that this is part of the journey we’re on? Try to reframe your experience, don’t thinking I don’t know if I can make it through instead think this too shall pass. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a mindset that takes practice, trust that I have to check myself DAILY! Thinking of life like the rhythm of the ocean can help us to ride the waves. When you are up, fully enjoy that moment. Feel the breeze against your skin and be in this moment of joy. Don’t rob that moment of happiness by thinking about the next sorrow! Don’t bring yourself unnecessary failure, by believing you won’t succeed. When the waves come crashing down and you are in the middle of hardships do not lose all rational thought. Your emotions might tell you that things will never get better, but deep down, you know that isn’t true. When the wave comes crashing down, ride it.

What causes hair loss for women? I have been asked this question a lot this year. Hair loss can effect just your scalp or your entire body, either way hair loss can feel dramatic. While I wish I had THE for you, truth is it’s not so straightforward. I always recommend my clients talk to their physician. Our internal health can be reflected externally. Sometimes a simple blood test can answer a lot of questions. I also advised seeing a dermatologist -Our scalp is skin so see...ing a specialist can often help narrow down the possible cause. My sweet client pictured here is experiencing alopecia. We cut her hair a bit shorter and over directed her part to help cover circular patches of missing hair. People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out. Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body. A variety of conditions can cause permanent or temporary hair loss, including hormonal changes due to pregnancy, childbirth, menopause and thyroid problems. Pattern baldness is often caused my genetics and can often be hereditary. Side effects from a weight loss, medical conditions, taking supplements or medication can be factors as well as stress or experiencing physical or emotional shock. What an you do? Start by keeping a healthy environment on your scalp and take extra care of your existing hair. You can gently exfoliate your scalp and detox your hair with professional clarifying treatments. Be gentle with your hair. Use a detangler and avoid tugging when brushing and combing, especially when your hair is wet. Flexible brittle brushes and wide-toothed combs helps prevent tension on hair. Avoid harsh treatments such as hot rollers, curling irons and permanents. Limit the tension on hair from styles that use rubber bands, barrettes or tight braids. If you need help researching what options are right for you, I’m happy to help.
