Salons and Barber shops WE ARE ESSENTIAL! I’m asking all my clients, friends and colleagues to please take a moment and contact your state Senators and representatives. I just got off the phone with my state senator who has been a client of mine for close to 30 years. He is recommending that we all get together and use our representatives for what we have elected them to do which is to represent us. He is going to ping governor Newsom‘s office on my behalf and try to get... a dialogue started to allow us to remain open. Currently salons can remain open but at a reduced 20% capacity. All we are asking is that they let us remain able to do business at this current level through the Christmas season and not shut us down. All sanitizing protocols and health measures are to be strictly followed. Please get on your phones and call your representatives. To all my hairdresser friends: Our Representatives and Senators all get their hair done. Contact your clients like I did. Get them to represent us to the governor and give us a chance to remain open. If we all work together, and follow protocol we can show the Governor that we are essential and need to remain open. Please share this message and support salons.

Just had a full inspection -again -by the department of health. I passed with flying colors and since I’m operating privately I easily fall within the 20% of customer capacity. He was really impressed with all of the above and beyond steps I’ve taken to make my salon safe from touch less faucets to the UV sanitizers. He walked in just as my client was having her temperature taken and yes we both had our masks on. I basically got a gold star and better yet from now on if som...eone puts in a fake complaint they will no longer have to follow up. I’m asking all of my clients and friends to write into our local politicians and urge them to allow all small businesses to remain open with the small operating percentages in place. The inspector said if all salons were operating like mine then he wouldn’t have any paperwork to do!
