The rotator cuff is composed of four muscles and tendons around the shoulder joint that helps your shoulder move. The shoulder joint is a very mobile joint, just like your knee or elbow joint. The muscles of the rotator cuff are very important for many functions, including bending forwards, backwards, rotating around, and getting your arm above your head.
