The City of Salinas has partnered with Eden Council for Hope and Opportunity (ECHO Housing) to provide additional housing resources in light of the COVID-19 pan...demic. ECHO is conducting a webinar on January 7th, 2020 to inform the public, particularly tenants and property owners, about the Salinas Limits on Evictions and NEW Tenant Relief Act of 2020. This webinar, in English and Spanish, provide information regarding the halt on evictions and foreclosures put in place by the City and additional State protections. Special Delivey for CHISPA seniors Due to the Covid-19 restrictions set by the County and for the safety of all of our residents CHISPA will not be hosting its Annual Senior Holiday Luncheon for all 333 senior units this year. In lieu of the Holiday Luncheon CHISPA is providing each unit with gift and gift card. Stay safe and Happy Holidays from CHISPA!

We are proud of our CHISPA residents attending college. Thank you for your donations to our scholarship funds at Hartnell College California State University, Monterey Bay, and at the Community Foundation for Monterey County. Here is CHISPA resident Camila A., a student at Hartnell College My first semester of college taught me how time consuming each class is. The professors do not care if we have tons of assignments from other classes. They just care about their class.... Full time students, on the other hand won’t have time to focus on working a job. I was lucky enough to get help from financial aid, but when you do the math, the books alone are super expensive. I live 35 miles away from the main campus, and transportation can be expensive. That is why, when the opportunity for a CHISPA scholarship came around, I tried my hardest to take advantage of it. Thank you for the scholarship.
