Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
January is usually the coldest month of the year, it is also the month people most likely to get flu. In Chinese medicine we say when your body is strong nothing can attack from outside. The cold weather cause your body defense Qi to use some of it to keep your body warm, and weakening it’s ability to fend off flu. So, let’s keep warm and wish everyone a happy and healthy new year!
We will be reopening 5/11/2020, CDC guideline will be observed, which means face covering and temperatures will be taken before the treatment begins, also people with flu like symptoms should avoid come. We will be scheduling people apart so call ahead. Stay safe and healthy.
I thank all friends and family for their help and appreciation. Wishing everyone a wonderful thanksgiving.

Note to myself Blood deficient headache mostly happens at night . Qi deficient headache mostly happens in the morning. Treatment blood type Bai Zhi, Shi Xing plus si Wu tong. Qi type Chuang Xiong , Hugo Xiang , Ginseng, Huang Qi.
Last week it was liver this week it is the heart. When heart is in excess, one should eat more sweet tasting food, that is why when people are feeling miserable they tend to eat chocolate or ice cream. When heart is deficient, one should eat more salty food. When heart beat is too slow or too weak, one can eat more salty food.
Quite a few people asked me about what food should they eat for their conditions. While this is a huge topic but to put it simply, it is the relationship between food and your organs. In Chinese medicine , the organs are assigned deferent colors. Liver is green, heart is red, spleen is yellow, lungs are white, and kidneys are black. There also are the taste which associated with the organs : liver - sour, heart - bitter, spleen - sweet, lung - pungent, kidney - salty. When yo...ur body is balanced you should eat all the taste for your orange to get the nutrition they need, but when one organ is out of balance, could be deficient or excess, we can try to balance it with color or taste. For example liver excess eat more sour taste food with green color. For liver deficient, eat more spicy food. But if one also has the heat symptom then this approach can not be done, this is beyond scope of food. See more
Spring is almost here, that means Allergy season is here too. Fortunately there is some Chinese herbs can take care of that. One particular herbal formula comes to my mind is Cang Er San. It has Dahunan Angelica Roots, Mint herb, Magnolia Flower and Xanthium fruit. It is all natural and best of all it won’t make people drowsy. Happy Saint Patrick’s day.
Happy Chinese New Year!
Merry Christmas to all my friends!
