Although fall this year looks a little different, we are thankful for the changing seasons and look forward to snowfall soon While the largest fire in California history continues to burn its way east of our mountain communities, our staff at China Peak is working diligently to clean up debris, housing trailers and other destroyed assets as well as prepare our resort for an opening Thanksgiving weekend. We are as always weather dependent to make that opening date, but w...ith our most capable snowmaking system ever we are the most confident of opening on little to no natural snow than ever before! Our journey since purchasing Sierra Summit in 2010 has been anything but smooth, but we've proven our resiliency to handle most anything, and we have an amazing, dedicated team of professionals among our staff to deal with whatever Mother Nature chooses to send our way #MountainStrong #WinterIsComing

Many people have asked how they can help our mountain community, here is some useful information!

We are thankful that our mountain community members are slowly able to return to their homes as the fire fighters continue to battle the Creek Fire. We are still hosting our annual job fair November 6-7 and hope to see familiar faces and new! If there’s one thing this fire taught us, it’s how STRONG our mountain family is! If you are looking to work in a fun environment with awesome people check us out

If you were forced to leave your boat at China Peak Landing because of the evacuation please read this message from the forest service and follow the rules for re-entry. This weekend only.
