That’s a wrap! 2020, you held so many lessons. You were full of brokenness, and healing. Loneliness, and connection. Pain, and comfort. Fear, and perseverance. Sadness, and hope. And as always, so much freakin love. I am choosing to be thankful for alllthefeelings, because if I deny the tears, how can I accept the laughter? If I wish away the anger, how can I celebrate the joy? ... The reality of what this year held, and the learning that happened, is different for each of us. I am coming out more aware of my privilege, of my role in my community, and mostly, with the acknowledgment that I want to continue to be for people...in a deeper, truer way. After all, aren’t we here to walk each other home? Blessings to you and yours this New Years Eve! See you in a better and brighter, 2021! Photo: @ryangreenleaf #weddingplanner #nye See more

Today marks 2 years since the Camp Fire changed so much in our community. In the past, I’ve reposted the stats of what was lost. This year is different. This year, there is hope. Hope for healing. Hope for rebuilding. Hope for the future of so many. Today, I honor those who’s lives were changed forever, and I give thanks for the hope.... Butte County friends, breath in the fresh air of this beautiful fall morning. We’ve worked for this day, this milestone. We’ve worked hard for the hope. #buttestrong #campfire See more

I wish I could bottle the feelings this photo gives me and sell it. I’m so thankful to be rich in moments like this. Such a perfect summer night! While I’m loving these cooler fall days, I’m definitely missing my end of season trip. Two years ago it was Vegas, last year it was NYC and DC (currently reliving that one my stories). I can’t wait for my next adventure! We have one wedding left this year. Our couple planned for 300, then reduced, then canceled, the...n shifted, then, well, I think we’re on plan 6 or 7, but the good news is...they’re getting married! They will be surrounded by a much smaller collection of their nearest and dearest, and it will be beautiful. 2020, you took a lot from us, but you can’t take the love! I loved @ohwhereslindsay’s vision for her reception. A clean white base to feature the custom napkins and stunning florals. Design them in a @heathceramics vase and ! We (the wedding industry) have spent a lot of time in the beauty of neutrals over the last few years. The focus on highlighting color and pattern for this celebration was fun and refreshing! Here’s to adding a little pop and a whole lot of beauty to your space this weekend! ... Photo: @kateanfinsonphoto #weddingplanner #centerpieces See more

I loved watching the care and attention these two showed each other on the regular. The planning decisions that were made, with intention, to honor and express care for one another, were pretty incredible. Lindsay and Chris, your love is beautiful, but your partnership...that inspires me. ... Photo: @kateanfinsonphoto #weddingplanner #cescouples See more

Chris and Lindsay’s wedding day wasn’t what they had originally envisioned. As most couples who planned to marry in 2020, they had to make some hard decisions. Guest list from 110 to 24. Venue change from a super hip Napa winery, to her parents sweet and beautiful backyard. Family and friends that wouldn’t be able to travel, but joined via Zoom. Through it all, Lindsay and Chris knew one thing...they were getting married...and I was here for it! This gorgeous and intim...ate celebration was a perfect fit for these two. It was filled with beautiful details and a ton of meaningful moments. The florals were stunning and all created with love, by a dear family friend! Here’s to hoping your weekend is filled with socially distant time with friends! And also, good looking men in suits! Photo: @ryangreenleaf #weddingplanner #groomsmen

Kelly, Ciaran and I planned 3 weddings over the course of our time together. Three different dates, three different venues, many of the same vendors, and always the same love. In the end, it came down to them, their closest family, and the place that meant so much. They are one of my couples this year, that moved, shifted, pivoted, and in the end, just went for it. ... If this year has taught me anything, it’s that there is rarely one right answer for everyone. Just like planning a wedding is personal, so is the decision to postpone, or to move forward. I am so proud of these two, and our 18 other ‘2020’ couples, who have made the right choice for THEM. That’s something worth celebrating! Photo: @ryangreenleaf #weddingplanner #covidsucks See more

In front of 24 of their closest family and friends, plus a few dozen more on Zoom from all over the world, these two tied the knot just over a week ago! We were so happy to be a part of such an intimate, and socially distant, celebration! I can’t wait to show you more from this beautiful day! Congratulations @ohwhereslindsay and @cahartley!!! Gearing up for some time out of the office this week. I can’t get to the ocean fast enough! Our annual trip will look VERY different than ‘normal’, but doesn’t everything right now?!? Looking forward to my toes in the sand, the sound of the ocean, social distancing, good food, mask wearing and creating memories in this unique time. This week is always a restart for me. Typically, it’s a break between our full spring/summer season, and our upcoming busy fall. Like every...thing about this year, this one’s different. The things that will be the same as they are every summer...I will still read You Are a Badass (just finished listening to You Are a Badass at Making Money - again) and I will set (write) my intentions for the rest of this year and for 2021. This happens through long walks, quiet time, and watching my kids play on the beach where I grew up. We debated about this trip...A LOT. And made modifications to be as safe as possible. As it gets closer, my heart is yearning for it. I’m looking forward to something that, in the midst of this chaos, feels like home. Some big things are happening this fall...abundance, expansion, and joy...I’m so ready! Photo: @fromsfwithlove #weddingplanner #sanfranciscoweddings See more

What a year! The impacts of Covid have been significant for so many in all kinds of ways. Our industry has been hit hard in this pandemic. One article I read estimated over 96% of 2020 weddings have been rescheduled/cancelled. I posted last week that the event industry has lost over $32 billion dollars. That seems unfathomable. ... Many, if not most, of our vendors are self-employed or part of a small team...not a large corporation. That has made the hit even harder as the instability in income has led some incredibly talented people to leave our industry and find more stable work. Government programs have been helpful, but are set to expire this month. My friend @christinamcneill has provided a ton of information on that and how we can continue to support our industry and those committed to it. When I started writing this post, the focus was going to be on the new brides I’ve been able to partner with for 2021 weddings, which is SO EXCITING. The reality is, I still have 2020 brides who are having to make decisions, or more accurately, having decisions made for them. I guess I just wanted to acknowledge that we all feel the impacts. We all want to celebrate. We are all in this together. As we continue to navigate this ‘Covid’ world, I hope we can remember that. Photo: @chels_diaz #weddingplanner #patrickranch See more
