MO Spotlight: For our first highlight we would like to recognize our member organization, The Jesus Center . The Jesus Center Community Resource Team was create...d in response to the Camp Fire to assist individuals and families as Community Resource Specialists. Since May of 2019 their team has assisted a total of 243 referrals and helped 546 individuals. Their team is small but mighty as they’ve been doing all of this work with just one full time Community Resource Specialist, and two part-time. We are thankful for their great support efforts! In just two months, $14,000 in meals have been purchased from local restaurants for nonprofit organizations serving vulnerable populations. The Local Restaurant...s, Local Needs Fund is a COVID-19 charitable fund opened by Tim and Ann Edwards and Wally and Susan Marshall. Several restaurants and caterers have prepared the meals, which have been delivered to organizations such as the Jesus Center, Salvation Army and CHAT housing.
