The roots of our team began in 1980 with the mission to bring spirit and awareness to our community that was suffering during the HIV epidemic, and we are incredibly honored to keep this mission going strong for more than 40 years! CHEER San Francisco's participation in Pride around the Bay Area goes all the way back to 1980when the team was formed as the Hayward Raw Rahs and appeared at SF's Gay Freedom Day Parade. Although current circumstances demanded a very different Pride experience this year, our organization was proud to participate in virtual celebrations in the Bay Area, across California and around the globeincluding some special milestone events! Most importantly, we are so proud to be able to continue our support of these incredible organizations doing important work for LGBTQ+ communities throughout Northern California.

Getting our AMPLIFY! celebration started with a bang. Incredibly proud of the dedicated CHEER San Francisco volunteers and countless supporters whodespite unprecedented challengespowered a record-breaking fundraising year.
