Naturally, during tax season things get a little crazy in the office. Good thing we have our office manager, Megan to keep things running smoothly up front. And because of that, today I wanted to show her how much we appreciate her. For one, she keeps us in line and makes sure I stick to my schedule, keeps me on task and makes sure we’re taking much needed breaks. She takes it upon herself to continually grow (and you know I’m all about growth). She not only works for Nex...t Peak CPA full time but is also taking college courses and wants to take on the ever so exciting QuickBooks classes...I mean who actually volunteers for that?! If you’re a client, then I think you would agree, she genuinely cares for each and every one of you! Let’s show Megan a little extra today because really, I don’t know what I would do without her.
Office complete... @coffeycustombuilds just delivered this custom, jaw dropping, redwood beauty.
It’s that time of year again! Your favorite and mine...TAX SEASON! Here are a few things you should know to prepare: 1) As of right now, the IRS and State taxing authorities have no intention of extending the tax deadline as they did last year. 2)March 15th is the filing deadline for partnerships and S Corps (and LLC’s filing as one of these). Business returns can be extended before March 15th to September 15th. ... 3)April 15th is the filing deadline for individuals and C Corps. These returns can be extended before April 15th to October 15th. However, make sure your tax payments are in by April 15th to avoid penalties and interest. 4)May 15th is the filing deadline for non-profits that operate on a calendar year. We’ve been sprucing up the new office space. Before Christmas we added the Next Peak CPA sticker on my office window and last week I did some painting. What should we do next?
