We still have some spots available for SING MY NAME: A FREE and VIRTUAL musical-writing workshop for 3rd-5th grade OUSD students! Join us as we write a hand-clapping, foot-stomping, musical! Students will get a chance to write scenes and lyrics led by Tiffany "Ms. Tee" Golden and musician Eli Wise. Get ready to turn your big ideas into one big MUSICAL! Teaching Artist Bios: Tiffany Golden is the author of the Midnight Story Series, a children’s fantasy series. She holds a BFA in Motion Picture Production and an MFA in Creative Writing. In addition to her own work, Tiffany has passionately worked with school-aged youth for over 15 years in an effort to support them in sharing their voices. Eli Wise is a songwriter and educator. He writes custom songs in collaboration with the songwriters collective Gifting Pride, has recorded and released three albums, and is in production for his fourth, Ghosts and Logic. He has written for theatre (Theatre of Yugen), and dance (Sonsheree Giles), and performed with AMP Oakland and the I Need Space Festival. He has taught Oakland youth for over a decade, both privately and through public schools. The importance of visibility and representation are stressed and stretched thro...ugh their words.
