We are raising money to help us purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & supplies for our volunteer team of #nurses and #healthcare professionals, providing free #flu vaccinations to San Diego community members. The flu season has just begun, and we have already administered over 2,000 flu shots! Typically, we administer between 2,500-3,000 flu shots in an entire season. Due to the increase of demand, we will... need additional supplies and resources to ensure everyone gets the flu shot they need. The San Diego Medical Society Foundation dba Champions for Health is the leading mobile flu vaccination provider in San Diego County. We mobilize a volunteer team of nurses and healthcare professionals to provide free flu vaccinations to essential workers, uninsured, and anyone that needs it in underserved areas in San Diego County.

This past Saturday, the San Diego National Association of Hispanic Nurses helped #vaccinate 160 uninsured San Diegans in 3 hours at St. James - St. Leo free clinic. We had a line that went around the corner of the street, and the free clinic saw a 50% increase in patients needing pro-bono primary care from volunteer medical staff.

Champions for Health supports the most vulnerable in our community through Project Access San Diego. An altar will be on display at the County Administration Building starting at 5:30 pm November 1-2. If you would like to submit your loved one's picture to be included on this altar, fill out the form below. Our community has never experienced a loss like this.
