Our entire CMOC family, Pre-College faculty and participants, donors and stakeholders, and administration, are safe from harm's way. Many were evacuated yesterday due to the Silverado and Blue Ridge Fires, and thankfully, no one has lost their home. Our new commercial space was also spared, and presently away from any impending danger. We are so grateful to the heroes tirelessly fighting this threat and keeping the entire Orange County community safe. Thank you, Orange County Fire Authority, and everyone who is providing support and relief .

Hot off the press! A behind-the-scenes look at 2020/2021 Artist-in-Residence Seung Yoon Choi creating a brand-new work, "Rule of the Opposite - CMOC", in his studio in South Korea. Inspired by Cristina Spinei's If Beethoven Danced Merengue, a piece written for Trio Céleste in 2016, Chamber Music | OC commissioned this original art along with 20 signed limited edition prints that will be given to supporters of the organization's upcoming Capital Campaign. Each season, Chamber Music | OC will commission a distinguished visual artist to create new works inspired by our performances. The 2020/2021 inaugural Artist-in-Residence is award-winning Korean painter, Seung Yoon Choi. In their sold-out Carnegie Hall debut, Chamber Music | OC presented their Ensemble-in-Residence Trio Céleste, and special guest artists including Emerson String Quartet violinists Eugene Drucker and Philip Setzer, and British concert cellist Colin Carr. Trio Céleste performed Dvoák's "Dumky" Trio and was featured in the world premiere of Paul Dooley's Concerto Grosso for Piano Trio and String Octet including guest artists and select participants of Chamber Music | OC’s Youn...g Artist Program. The program concluded with Mendelssohn's String Octet featuring violinists Iryna Krechkovsky, Yuri Cho, Eugene Drucker, and Philip Setzer; violists Hanna Lee and David Samuel; and cellists Colin Carr and Ross Gasworth.
