Dwell implies living in the Scriptures so that the Scriptures live in you. I may visit your home and you give me a tour through all the rooms. But I don’t live there. To live there means that it’s the place I keep coming back to each day. I’m comfortable there. I’m familiar with my home. It’s where I go for refuge and rest. All that’s implied in the concept of dwelling in a home should be true of my dwelling in the word of Christ and the Word dwelling in me. #votd

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. II Corinthians 1:3-4 NKJV This last week I had a scare at work. I was afraid I was going to lose my job over a mistake, one I made and it would have been justified. I called my dad and other friends to ask for pr...ayer. They did not tell me how in the right I was or how bad the company was, instead they prayed. They sent me Scripture, they told me to trust God. Knowing that God had a plan for my life beyond this job, beyond the horizon that I could see, was more a comfort than anything else I had been told. Today I found out I will not be losing my job. It made me realize how silly it would have been to give up and act as if was losing my job. Almost immediately there was an opportunity to share my story, and encourage someone else to trust God. This isn't a story about awesome I am, far from it. This is a story of how God is faithful to us and we need to trust in Him, especially when we don't see what's coming. That way we can share the comfort and peace we find in Him with others who are in distress. Have a blessed day! See more

What's this?!?!?!

"All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out." -John 6:37 This verse is a reminder of our Father in Heaven who is full mercy and grace. We are so blessed that He is willing to meet us wherever we're at in life; no matter how good we're doing in our walk in faith or how bad we've messed up in sin, our Father is willing to guide us in His will despite any situation. This verse is a great encouragement to remember to lean on Him, for He will never forsake us! #votd

We must never forget the power of prayer and the importance of surrendering our all to the one who knows all! This verse highlights the significance of fellowship and how necessary it is to be amongst believers in worship, prayer, and encouragement in order to grow! Our youth beach trip is approaching quickly! It will be on Sunday, July 30th and we will be meeting at the church at 1 pm! Lunch will be provided but we ask that everyone bring a side or snack to share. The cost is free but bring money for spending, just in case. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them." 1 John 2:15 The Bible is constantly reminding of us how important it is to be grounded in Christ and steadfast in our faith. We are not supposed to be confirmed to this world, but stand for what is of Christ; we are also called to reject all things that are not of Him, which includes the world. The world offers nothing but sorrow, pain, and sin but if you choose to follow Christ, He grants us the gift of eternal life. Earth and its things will pass away, however Heaven and God's love will remain forever. Let this verse be a reminder to continue being strong in our faith through constant prayer, reading the Bible, worship, and learning from other strong spiritual leaders! #votd
