I once asked a group of children, ‘if the world was created in 6 days, what did G-d create on Shabbat?’ A young girl replied, ‘on Shabbat, G-d created holiness.’ -Rabbi Mendel Futerfas This Shabbat is the first Shabbat of the new Torah cycle, on which we read of the 6 days of creation. This Shabbat, let’s cherish the moments with those around us and bask in the holiness of the day. And let the holiness inspire us for a week of beauty, positivity and productivity ahead.... Please light Shabbat candles in memory of Chana bat Yehuda Leib at 6:10 pm in Fremont Shabbat Shalom!
