C&H Machine, an AS9100 certified company in Escondido, CA has an immediate opening for an experienced Quality Lead Inspector. We are looking for someone to join our team, have internal motivation to want to aspire and grow with us. Responsibilities & Duties: Interpret complex mechanical drawings and specifications. Plan and perform detailed inspections on tight tolerance parts and assemblies using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, ...depth gauges, CMM, optical comparators, and height gauges. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and generate FAI reports. Perform in-process, before process and final part inspections. Help an inspection team for any special processes and train new inspectors Always be a team player Qualifications and Skills: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of 3 years experience in a quality control environment. Knowledgeable in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications, and perform mathematical computations. Experience with AS9100 documentation, such as AS9102 inspection forms and specifications. Familiar with aerospace plating and processing standards, such as standards for anodizing, chemfilm, passivation, etc. Good communication skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees including management. Education and Training: High School diploma or equivalent Trade school training is a plus Benefits: Health, dental and vision insurance, 401K, paid sick and vacation time
