Alex Caputo-Pearl calls out Austin Beutner on his misinformation campaign. LAUSD is not a private company, it is a public entity. Beutner needs to be transparent, clear, and stop with the lies. Check out this video. #LAUSDStrike #UTLAStrong
Dear Colleagues, here are two ways to support our fellow faculty members, staff and students at CSU Chico and CSU Channel Islands who are suffering and still threatened by the wildfires raging both north and south. If you are able to donate, please do so. https://www.csuci.edu/gi/causes/support/ekho-your-heart.htm
Cheering the $364 million in additional state funding for the CSU, and all the hard work to secure it. "We are very gratified that because of hard work by CFA m...embers, CSU students, CSU staff, and our state’s legislative leadership, California’s 2018-19 budget plan takes an important step toward reinvesting in the California State University system," said CFA President Jennifer Eagan. "This is important to ensure the continued economic and democratic progress of our state." See more
Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon stood with us on April 4 when over 1,000 faculty, students, and allies rallied at the Capitol to #FreeTheCSU and #FundTheDream. ... Following Gov. Brown's May Revise today, which failed to include additional ongoing funding beyond the $92.1 million in the proposed budget, Rendon announced in a news release and via Twitter that he is holding firm to that commitment. "The budget also must address the needs of CSU and UC students, faculty, and staff. They have made the case for funding to stabilize tuition rates, address rising costs, and enroll more California students. We have heard them." #Proud #CABudget #Solidarity
Gov. Jerry Brown's budget proposal of just $92 million more for the CSU next year doesn't even keep up with inflation, and could cause more tuition increases, c...ourse cuts, and delay students’ graduations. We say NO. Join us on April 4, when we urge Gov. Brown and lawmakers to #FreeTheCSU and #FundTheDream. See more
