Me & mini-me . Having kids is a window into your own soul. Mini-me teaches me lessons about myself every day. She reflects who I am with her own spunky spin on it. Sometimes I look in horror at the mirror in front of myself. But other days, she reminds me why I keep going --> changing --> growing --> hopefully in a more loving direction. She was born kicking and screaming and she has had to get really loud to get me to pay attention. Thank you for all that you've done to bring us together!

I may never see the reason or outcome for the pain in this journey, but I just might get a few glimpses along the way... This week I started the @NorthCoastCalvaryChapel @WomenEngaging Bible Study about Abraham's journey to the promised land. It must have been so hard to know he doesn't have this specific map to reach his destination, but he will be given direction along the way. My body wants to know I'm achieving something... that there is a clear path and that I will see r...eal results in my lifetime! But, I have been settling in to my faith... that I may not see the results of my actions in my lifetime. Sometimes I get glimpses of joy, encouraging me along the way. But for real... I wish google would tell me my life's purpose... like now! 'Cuz the reality is... it's REALLY HARD to walk simply in faith that being kind and loving is more important than solving my problems in this very moment! . This is where we are right now in Covid-2020-land. There is no certainty to how we will find safety or a new and better economy. Sometimes, I don't feel so #blessed doing "all the right things." In these moments, I'm going to try and remember Abram, who was promised children, but his wife was infertile. It would have to take a miracle to bring God's promises to fruition. I think of his patience and faith and I can rest a little easier knowing someone else has trudged a difficult path. I'm not alone. None of us are alone. Maybe we can all walk in faith together See more

Every night at 8pm, I imagine this is me. Floating in a pool of water without one person in sight. Weeks spent at home with 2 middle schoolers distanced learning has been hard. By Friday, I'm ready to tear someone's head off. So this week, I decided I'd take a bath at 8pm each night. That is my signal to my body - and everyone else in the home - that it is wind down time. As I dunk my face in the water, I hear silence sometimes for the first time since my 5:30am wake up. Self-care is getting serious up in here. . How about you? Are you adding any extra self-care to your fall schedule?

Hi, I'm Charlene - the momprenuer behind CeeCee & Bee. This photo was taken last year before all of this Covid craziness. If you asked me 5 years ago what my life would be like right now, I wouldn't have guessed it would be as it is today. Right now I'm working from home, with 2 kids attending school in the room next to me (one of which I just noticed is watching someone play fortnight on youtube and am now sitting on the floor in his room). . I'm re-imagining what my life is... going to be like for the next few months and beyond. I'm looking to prioritize loving more and worry less. I'm jumping out of the matrix of what is expected of me and following my dreams of helping others who are trying to change their lives from oppression to freedom. Living in faith that financial stability will follow. I am so humbled and grateful for everyone's support thus far. . Production is scaled back from years past so I can focus on the family and friends in front of me and my loyal customer's favorites. I may throw in a few of my families favorites, just because it's fun to serve those closest to me. What are your favorites that you'd like to order this fall and holiday season? And, what does your life look like right now? How are you re-imagining your future? Are there any other ways I can support you? See more

Was able to get into the workshop early this morning. Trying out a new routine of going in early so I can be present for my kids throughout the day. I'm so thankful for your orders. And grateful i did some massive deodorant making last week before the schools shutdown! . In these uncertain times, I wonder how society will shift and adjust. It might seem wierd, but I am actually excited for a change. Life has been so busy, the rat race had been in overdrive for a long time. No...w, I finally don't feel like an oddball for trying to slow down my life. Although there is plenty of fear to grab onto, I'm trying to fill our day with joy and hope! It's been my goal for a while now, and media makes it hard. Just watching popular shows with all the doom and gloom music leaves me filled with dread. Funny how something so small can make such a big difference! . I took this time to sign up for Disney plus, watch more lighthearted shows (when we do watch tv, which is only a few hours a day). Last night we giggled our way through Airplane II with cookies and ice cream. . What are you up to? How are you filling your days? See more

I guess God heard my prayer to slow down. Currently, spending most of my day at home with my 11 and almost 13 year old. One has school work, the other has none. I have plenty to do, but being a mom is #1. . It's times like this that I lean on my recent learning of how to heal from toxic stress or in my case lifelong stress starting with childhood adversity. Self-care goes beyond roses and baths. These are good too! But if we don't have our basic needs met, a warm bath i...s a temporary pleasure. Here are the six steps I practice to build resiliency based on the book "The Deepest Well" from California Surgeon General #nadineburkeharris 1. Healthy diet 2. Lots of good sleep 3. Healthy relationships (pick up the phone and talk to a friend) 4. Moderate exercise 5. Mindfulness/meditation 6. Mental health/therapy First thing Saturday morning, I made these items a priority. Things have not gone smoothly, but we are surviving. And I'll be heading into work in the wee hours tomorrow morning to ship some orders while ensuring things are disinfected. Life will resume, and we will get through this. In the meantime, let's stay healthy emotionally and physically while we weather this storm. I would love to hear from you guys. How are you doing? Is there anything I can help you with?
