Merry Christmas! "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 NIV
Hello CEC family, out of an abundance of caution due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, the English congregation will be returning back to online-only Zoom worship starting this Sunday, December 13th. We believe this action help alleviate any potential strain on our hospital systems and relieve our pastoral staff and volunteers from mixing outside of their households. Praise God that we were able to worship safely over the past ten weeks without any issues. We thank our fea...rless pastors and volunteers for their dedication each week to provide a worshipful experience! After service, please stick around and greet one another in the "virtual courtyard"! Here is the link to access the worship service: https://cec-sd.org/livestream/
Thank you to all the wonderful brothers and sisters who gave us a wonderful livestream Cantonese service last Sunday! You all did a very good job! Thank you!

, There's a Cantonese version (also in Mandarin and many more languages) of the BibleProject! A great video tool for evangelism and learning. It has many short videos about important themes of the Bible and introduction to each book of the Bible. https://bibleproject.com/Cantonese/
We are live! The English congregation has started it's first livestream since the March stay-at-home orders. Also, October is Clergy Appreciation Month! Send a message of encouragement and appreciation to your pastors/ministers! #cecofsd #jesus #gospel

Just donated six 40-pack bottled water, 8 boxes of granola bars and a box of Ferrero Richer to the San Diego Fire & Rescue on behalf of our church. Thank you to all of the brave firefighters battling the wildfires and saving lives everyday! Please pray for their safety! And they want to thank everyone at church for your kindness and support.
A thank you note from Elmcroft of La Mesa for the masks that we donated to them back in April. They are doing great work taking care of the seniors everyday! May God protect them all!
Have you taken the time to be counted for the US census? It's quick and easy! The deadline is September 30,2020 and you can find more information on 2020census.gov. Census statistics help determine the number of seats each state holds in the U.S. House of Representatives and how billions of dollars in federal funds will be allocated by state, local, and federal lawmakers every year for the next 10 years. #2020census

Calling all Asians to be bone marrow donors! It is very sad that only around 5% of all registered donors in the US are Asian. This means that an Asian leukemia patient only has a 24% chance match vs. 75% if you are white. Please come out to our bone marrow drive on 8/29 from 10 am to 2 pm at our church's parking lot (2585 Judson Street, San Diego, CA 92111). We are looking for people from age 18-44! Sign up for a time slot today at https://cec-sd.org/bonemarrowdrive and s...hare this post please! Chris Chen from Asian for Miracle Marrow Matches will be coming down from LA to help us with this drive. He and Herald Crusade helped us post Jason's story (in our Cantonese congregation) on World Journal. If you really cannot come out on 8/29, you can register at https://join.bethematch.org/savejason and a swab kit will be sent to your home. However, the turn around time of this method to get you on the registry is much slower than coming out to our drive. If you registered before, you don't need to do it again. You can learn more about the registration, which is just a cheek swab, and the donation process here if you are a match https://bethematch.org/support-the-cause/donate-bone-marrow/ 0.8% 40%75%24%60 https://www.worldjournal.com//article-%E6%90%B6%E6%95%91%E
