The Very Cranky Bear acted out by our Drama Team!!! Moose, Lion, Zebra, and Sheep take shelter in a cave on a cold and rainy day, only to realize that a bear is there. The bear roars loudly and says that he is trying to sleep. Not understanding why the bear is so cranky, the other animals come up with ways to cheer up the bear. Determined to cheer him up, Moose, Lion, and Zebra adorn the bear with antlers made from branches, a mane made from grass, and stripes painted on wi...th mud - surely he will feel better if he looks just like them, right? Only Sheep thinks beyond her own perspective and she shears off some of her wool to make a soft pillow, and the bear finally goes back to sleep. This deceptively simple story was the framework of our Chapel discussion
It’s Fall and the aroma of pumpkin is in the air...especially in Kindergarten!! Mrs. Raitt’s class did a special pumpkin activity of smelling and feeling pumpkins on the outside...and the inside! They learned descriptive words like hard, smooth, bumpy, heavy, cold, slippery, sticky, soft, and slimy!... They also learned about God’s unique hand and creativity in everything He has made! As the children cleaned the pumpkin and pulled the seeds out, Mrs. Raitt explained the symbolism of the seeds akin to our sins as Jesus cleanses us of our sins too! #ccschool
