El verano es el mejor momento para leer y aprender
Stay safe and healthy to all of the families that have touched our lives. CCP misses all of you. Mantente a salvo y sano para todas nuestras familias que han tocado nuestras vidas. CCP os extraño a todos!
So proud of our first CCP class as they begin to plan and dream of their next steps of applying to college.
Join us for National Night Out - Tuesday, August 6 from 6-8pm in the Brenda Lopez Plaza (between the Washington United Youth Center and Washington Elementary School).
Since 2009 CCP has had the pleasure of providing our after-school program to the students of Washington Elementary. We would like to extend our appreciation to Principals Maria and Stephanie and our wonderful families and students for their support over the years. This summer we were notified by the current administration that our classroom will not be available for our summer camp and the upcoming academic year. CCP will continue to support Washington families in the upcoming future, but will be unable to provide our after-school project-based program. Stay tuned for more information as we define new strategies to work in the community.
Students from Washington Elementary School and Blossom Hill Elementary School have been writing to one another this school year. They finally met their Pen Pals to celebrate a year of writing and getting to know each other.
Students designed and built beautiful bridges which they presented to their parents. A special thanks to the San Jose State University CHAD students for their enthusiasm and encouragement this semester. Also, thanks to our special mentors that continue to support CCP throughout the years. Lastly, to the Washington parents for their encouragement and being the best audience in the world for their children.
A day on the Golden Gate Bridge. Video by a special mom of one of CCP's students.
Los estudiantes crearon hermosas pinturas de cuarterías y escribieron mensajes a sus madres.
Students have been learning about bridges and are ready to design and create a bridge of their own. Los estudiantes han estado aprendiendo sobre puentes y están listos para diseñar y crear un puente sí es el suyo.
Walking the bridge and having a picnic.
