The California Department of Industrial Relations provided written clarification today that additional "COVID" cleaning on construction sites is not covered by California prevailing wages. So, contractors who bring in additional employees or a separate company to sanitize and wipe down equipment and portions of the project do not need to pay prevailing wages for this COVID cleaning.
