Calvary Christian Fellowship 10.11.2020

A Christian puts their trust in Jesus and receives from the Spirit, the same faith that Jesus had! It is a faith that is able to look at impending death and say, "Not my will, but yours be done!" It is the faith that is willing to lay down one's own life if it means pleasing God! Look at what heaven declares next: "Blessed are those that die in the Lord from now on!" The world will look upon Christians who refuse to receive the mark as men who are cursed. That is not the way ...that the Lord looks upon them! In reality, they will be blessed by God! Remember these words church: They will be blessed by God AND they will lose their lives! That is unthinkable to many Christians today. These assume that the only way to measure blessing is in happiness and happy endings. Wrong! Blessing from God is found in obedience in whatever circumstance you are called to live through! When God the Father commands this, the Spirit agrees! They will be blessed with rest. Keep the contrast in mind. God has just promised that men who receive the mark will have no rest. They will have their "best life now!" They will be at relative ease here upon the earth, having saved their own lives. They will have their "rest" while they live and live without rest for the rest of eternity! God's people will find no place to rest on this Earth, but will enter into rest for eternity and their works will follow them! The Lord is reminding us that there are rewards waiting for us! ~ Pastor Frank Revelation 14:12,13 : "Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, 'Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ 'Yes,' says the Spirit, 'that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.'"

While I’m the one who does the majority of the cooking in our home, my husband is the one who has the true patience of a cook. When he fries meat for us, he gradually simmers the onions and meat on low heat so they are not only thoroughly cooked, but also laden with flavor. But when I fry vegetables or meat, I crank the stove burner to the highest setting. Sometimes my hurried method works, but in the process I usually get splattered by sizzling oil. Other times it results in...Continue reading

Happy Lord's Day CCF! We will be meeting at the Finfrock's home (for those that would like to join us in person) and streaming our SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE this morning at 10AM, here on Facebook, as well as from our YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8-AQmAfHroB_wr2Fb9xURw...... If the stream gets choppy on one platform, you can alternate between the two live platforms. * All has been done on our side to help with good transmission. It is recommended that if you are having a difficult time streaming at home, please do a few of the following to resolve it: 1) Close all other active windows in your browser. 2) Restart your device 3) Unplug your internet router for 10 seconds. Once you have plugged it back in, you should see improvement. If livestreaming becomes unbearable and inspires you to relieve yourself of hair follicles, then you have TWO additional options: 1) You can view the pre-recorded message on YouTube, which will be available at 10:15 AM. *PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A TEMPORARY FILE WHICH WILL BE DELETED AFTER THE SERVICE. https://youtu.be/GxrKylFTABs OR . . . 2) You can download it directly to your hard drive via this link: http://www.mediafire.com//j70u/Revelation+14:6-20.mp4/file Lord willing, we will have an uninterrupted morning of live worship and study on both platforms! We'd appreciate your prayers toward that end. Looking forward to our time of worship!

These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. ~ Rev. 14:4 These men follow the Lamb wherever He goes! That word "follow" speaks volumes. "Hypago" means to "lead oneself under, i.e. withdraw or retire as if sinking out of sight." They are so close to the Lord that they disappear behind Him! There is no distance between Him and them! If someone were looking at Jesus coming toward them, they would not see anyone but Him! These are not following His followers. Jesus ne...ver called us to follow another. We are to follow Him! These men are exceptional in their unwillingness to chart their own course upon this Earth. They are content, fulfilled in being true followers of Jesus. Can you say that of yourself? Is that your heart's cry? There isn't a better place to be than to be where Jesus is! There is safety in making this decision to allow the Lord to control your direction and continues as you determine not to allow any distance to develop between you and Him! In fact, every time that distance is measured between God's people and their Lord, the results are disastrous! There are many examples in Scripture, here is one from the New Testament we are very familiar with. Peter, the Lord's "most faithful disciple," swears that even if everyone else were to deny Him, he could not possibly fail in that area! (Mat. 26:33) The end of that story finds Peter weeping at the gate of the city, having denied His Lord with a curse, at the exact moment that the rooster crowed and Jesus looked him in the eye! What happened in the intervening moments? What swung the pendulum? Listen carefully! Matthew 26:57,58 : "And those who had laid hold of Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. But Peter followed Him at a distance to the high priest’s courtyard. And he went in and sat with the servants to see the end." When you follow at a distance, you are just as likely to be influenced in your behavior and decisions by what you see around you. When your eyes are focused on the Lord, you are secure knowing that wherever He leads you, it will be for your best benefit! ~ Pastor Frank See more

Great tribulation brings out the great strength of God. If you never feel inward conflicts and sinking of soul, you do not know much of the upholding power of God; but if you go down, down, into the depths of soul-anguish till the deep threatens to shut her mouth upon you, and then the Lord rides upon a cherub and does fly, yea, rides upon the wings of the wind and delivers your soul, and catches you away to the third heaven of delight, then you perceive the majesty of divine grace. Oh, there must be the weakness of man, felt, recognized, and mourned over, or else the strength of the Son of God will never be perfected in us. (Charles H. Spurgeon)

As with the magicians that contended with Moses in Pharaoh's court, this beast will back up his claims with wonders before men. He'll bring fire down from heaven. Why that sign in particular? Remember that he will be working to counter the ministry of the two witnesses during the first three and a half years! He'll be able to duplicate their wonders, at least this one! By the way, are miracles, signs and wonders the best way for a person to come to faith in Christ? Understand... that the False Prophet uses signs and wonders as well! Never judge a prophet by their work. Always judge them by their WORDS! ~ Pastor Frank Revelation 13:11-13 : "Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men."

In 1947 some scientists created a figurative clock which purported to be counting down minutes towards Midnight ; signifying the end of the world. Every once in a while you’ll see a news report where these scientists have ticked off another minute on the clock due to current worldwide conditions. As we Christians have been watching world events, we have also had a loose idea that the minutes are ticking away toward the End Times and the return of the Lord. Recently, I have h...Continue reading
