If you find yourself compromising just to make it through the school year, you are not alone. Many parents are faced with painful choices about their child’s social isolation and academic set-backs. There’s still time to find the right learning environment. Now enrolling for Second Semester, full-time, in-person school for your family starts January 4th. Tours available over the Winter Break. http://CaulbridgeSchool.org
Childhood is a distinct time. It must be recognized and dignified as such. And then, protected, nourished, and properly scaffolded in order for the healthy childhood development to take place. Education should serve to lay the foundations, both inner and outer, for a child to grow into a successful human being in all ways, not just academically. Too many schools fret and obsess endlessly over scores. Then they declare success or failure based solely on those scores. You can't... measure and 'score' the kind of happy and fulfilling life you want for your child! But, you can achieve it. How? In partnership with educators who get it, who understand this, and who strive to know and empower your child as they actually are -- not as some so-called educational system would have them be. In quality education, one size never fits all. #childhood #education #Academics #Caulbridge photo: Eric Traub See more
Educationcomes from the Latin educere, meaning 'to draw out' the pupil. It’s less about what you drill into the student, and more about how you cultivate learning. At Caulbridge School, we understand that every child develops unevenlyandwe normalize and address the unevenness of each child’s development,so their strengths multiply, and their weaknesses disappear. Open for In-person learning, rolling admissions, schedule a tour today.
Given the changing needs of our children and world, it becomes imperative to re-examine everything we previously assumed about education.
Caulbridge brings together the latest in neuroscience and brain research with a deep understanding of how children learn and grow, balancing current research with collective wisdom. "When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe. - John Muir

It’s that time in the school year again! Our Food, Farming and FIBERS unit introduces each grade to new handwork projects. In the early childhood the students are working to twizzle raw wool, and in the grades students are felting, spinning and knitting- oh my!
Middle School Student’s Perspective: Sixth grade student says to her parents.OK here is the difference between the old me and new me. At my old school, the old me did my best to hide in the back of classroom. I didn’t want to be noticed. I couldn’t pay attention, and I didn’t learn very much. At Caulbridge, the new me raises my hand to answer almost every question because I actually know the answer. The new me is learning so much and participates all the time. Mom reports,... my daughter is such a verbal processor. It is fascinating to hear her perspective and theories about why she is feeling so much better about school now. She is making connections to her self-esteem, feeling a sense of belonging, and comfort by the clear expectations that feel reasonable to her love of Caulbridge. I love listening to her thoughts, both as a mom, and as a teacher who tries to create an environment like this for my own students. See more
At Caulbridge School we teach in thematic units. Our first full unit being, Food, Farming and Fibers. From gardening and worms to wetland conservation, our students have loved being back on campus and engaging in hands-on learning.

Local Sheriff's Deputies arrive just in time to help move the new picnic table into the Caulbridge School garden classroom! These friendly officers were just driving by the campus and didn't hesitate to stop and lend a hand.
