Instead community members are seeking volunteers to line a parade route with blue ribbons to celebrate the 2020 graduates. The F.D. is supporting this event. Cathedral City Fire Department 28.12.2020

A new COVID-19 testing site is coming to Cathedral City. Beginning Monday, May 18, appointments can be made for testing at the Cathedral City Library located at located at 33520 Date Palm Dr. Testing for the Library will be set up as a walk in clinic where the residents will need to make an appointment at least one day in advance. Upon arrival, the staff will confirm the patient information and complete the test. All residents tested will receive a contact from the Count...y EOC regarding the results both negative and positive tests receive phone calls. In speaking with other areas that have sites there were some concerns raised regarding the schedulers asking for insurance information. Per the CARES Act, all insurance companies will pay for their clients testing which is why this question is asked. Through this same act, no patients can be charged a copay for this testing and all uninsured patients will also receive free testing. The Site will be open from 8 am to 4 pm. The appointment line (800) 945-6171 has schedulers that can assist the residents in both English and Spanish.
