The end of the best two weeks on a bike you can ever have. The Haute Route Pyrenees and Alps 2019 was incroyable!

One our favorite days on the bike every year is Day 1 of The Coast Ride. The Entire ride is 125 miles from SF to Monterey, but we roll down to Watsonville and end up back at The Seacliff House (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/8366607) for a perfect 100 mile day. The CVC crew had a great time at the inaugural #SaganFondo Saturday in Truckee! It's a road/ gravel/ dirt fondo on some of the best roads & trails in the Truckee area, and there's different distances depending on how far you're comfortable riding. Special thanks goes out to Castro Valley's own Synergy Power for helping make this event happen! Even though modern gravel bikes such as the Specialized Diverge are much lighter and have better brakes, gears, & ergonomics- you can start gravel riding with a bike you might already have... We have done dozens of these conversions and it’s a fun way to get an old bike back on the road (and dirt!).

We had an amazing and bittersweet day yesterday hosting the JB Bon Fondo! John B- a founding member of Team CVC (in 1983!), and mentor to young riders for the past 20 years, is relocating to Southern France to pursue his dream of starting a bicycle tourguide service and BnB! Although it's been great to get all the rain we needed (and then some), we're ready for some sunshine and dry roads to get back to the part of road riding we enjoy the most...
