If you have a 2000 or newer vehicle next time it needs an emission (Smog) test you might notice we’re testing your car in a different way. We will no longer be putting 2000 and newer passenger cars and light trucks on a dynamometer or doing any tail pipe sampling. These vehicles all have OBDII, On Board Diagnostics Version Two and with that system the vehicle itself is continually monitoring anything that can cause the emissions to be higher than normal. The onboard computer ...on a newer vehicle can do a much better job monitoring emissions than a test on a dynamometer can. We may soon be able to test vehicles back to 1996 this way but for now anything 1999 to 1976 will still be tested on the dyno. New emission testing focuses on checking the OBDII system, making sure it's working properly and making sure it doesn’t see any problems with the vehicle. The new inspection is faster, safer and more efficient than those preformed on a dynamometer and by the end of 2014 will more than likely be required on most 2000 and newer vehicles. Ron

I wanted a new picture of the shop and there sits a 74 Plymouth... I guess that's ok, The shop and me were here when that car was new.. Wow I'm old..
