As you all know, I’ve taken some time off because I got to marry this STUD! There has been a lot of things going on that I would like to address. I’ve been told by 3 people that I shouldn’t post my opinions on my business page so that I don’t lose clients etc. But after thinking about it, I realized something extremely important... . . I don’t care if you are liberal, democrat, republican, black, white, yellow, or blue... I will still be your friend. Those things do not det...ermine my love for people! But with all that is going on right now, I have to say this... I do not want clients or friends who turn the other way when it comes to children and sex trafficking!! THIS IS REAL and it has been real for a long time. Y’all, black lives matter. Your life matters. My life matters. The CHILDREN matter!! They need a voice! They are voiceless! Speak up when you see something off! Speak up if your gut is telling you something!! Save the innocent!! My heart aches to know this is happening but is so thankful to see this be brought to the light! FIGHT FOR THE CHILDREN!!!! I know it’s bold of me to post my opinions on my platform but please do not book an appointment with me if you do not think that the trafficking and exploitation of children is horrendous and needs to be stopped!! I love my job, I love my clients, and I love my life I have built. But I have to say, I don’t love it enough at the cost of an innocent child’s life! . . That’s the end of that rant and I’m going to go back to enjoying my married life. PEACE OUT quarantine! . . This has all been so hard and such a trying time but I am so thankful for my health, my family, and my business I’ve come back to! You all mean so much to me and I cannot express how much I missed being behind the chair! .... . I want to assure you all that as stylists, we are required by law to maintain strict sanitation and disinfection control and I will be taking extra steps to maintain a safe environment for us both! Sorry for being so MIA lately it’s a crazy time. I know I’ve shared this photo before but I’m sharing it again to say that this right here is my heart and soul!! I’ve given so much to have this. I started the studio life 4.5 years ago with no money, living off a credit card, no clientele and not knowing what the heck I was doing. But I made it! I took every high and every low and pushed myself to mature and grow in lots of ways and said yes to myself! . . This business is m...y life! This studio is everything to me! My clientele is so much more to me than just root touch ups or paying the bills. It’s building relationships. It’s celebrating highs and lows together. It’s grieving with you when life throws the unexpected. Its creating confidence with a blow dryer and a hair brush. It’s my life and it’s essential to me! I can’t wait to get back to living out what I love every day the way that I want to. I look forward to the day that America re opens. . . This has been a very trying time with a lot of uncertainty and fear. I want you to know that I support you and your decisions in this time. I encourage you to do what you believe is right for you and your family. Not everyone will choose the same things, but keep in mind that everyone has a different story. There is much more going on in each of our lives than what meets the eye on the internet. Be gracious towards others. Be understanding. Even if you disagree with them. We may not agree on everything another person does, but I’m sure we can all agree that everyone is doing the best they can and it’s okay if that differs from what you believe is best. . . Reflecting on my blessings this morning This is such a strange time in the world and it’s so easy to feel discouraged or disappointed that this has changed so much for our daily lives and the things we’ve been looking forward to most. . . I miss my clients, my studio, and creating so much. But I’m trying to shift my mind to focus on the good this has brought. .... . I’m thankful for my health, my family and their health, a home to relax in all day, extra quality time with my fiancé, and free time to get little things done that I always put off. (procrastinator problems ) I am thankful for the incredible company I work under, my amazing business partner and that I get to look forward to going back to a job that I love. I’m thankful that even though things have been getting changed around, that it doesn’t change the love I have in my life or the blessings that God continues to give us. #perspective . . As I’m sure you have heard, California is under quarantine until April 30. (As of now) It truly devastates me to inform you that I cannot take you until this mandatory isolation is lifted.
