JULY EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH Maria was hired as a Certified Nursing Assistant on October 08, 2019, and works under the supervision of a station charge nurse. As a C.N.A, Maria assists patients with their daily basic needs. These needs often include bathing, personal care, dressing, taking vital signs, assisting residents with their meal and/or feeding a resident if they are unable to feed themselves. Maria provides compassion and respect during personal care, allowing each re...sident the dignity they deserve at this point in their life. Residents love her willingness to help and have noted that she is still smiling after a long day. She is dependable, reports to work on time, completes her daily documentation, is accountable for her performance and helps co-workers without hesitation. Residents have commented to facility managers on the excellent care she has provided since her first day. Maria was nominated this month for what she brings to our workplace on a daily basis. GENERAL PURPOSE This position is responsible for maintaining all physical components in good repair and in a clean, sanitary condition at all time. All work is performed safely and completed on time. QUALIFICATIONS... General Maintenance experiences ( 6-month minimum) in same or similar position. Ability to take directions and follow-up independently. Demonstrate the ability to perform maintenance tasks safety, with quality and efficiency. Good physical health. Excellent moral character. Performance focused. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, climb small ladders, use step stools, reach for objects, stand and walk for periods of time greater than 20 minutes. Successfully pass physical exam, drug screening and background check. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain all physical plant components in clean, working order. Maintenance Logs. o Check maintenance logs daily, to determine items needing attention. o Follow up on all repairs, replacement requests noted in logs. o When completed, note completion time in log o When in doubt concerning proper procedure for repairs, consult Supervisor. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE Follow routine maintenance schedule provided by supervisor. o Cleaning windows. o Replacing filters. o Inspect & maintain all plumbing fixtures (faucets, basins, showers, tubs, etc). o Inspect & maintain all patient room furnishings (beds, chairs, tables, etc). o Inspect & maintain all safety equipment (call lights, fire extinguishers, etc). o Inspect & maintain all wall coverings, sheetrock, doors, etc. o Painting & repairs as needed. Complete all tasks in a quality & timely manner. SAFETY Comply with, support and enforce all company polices related to safety and infection control procedures. Work safely, taking precautions to protect resident, staff, & visitors safety. Assist in monitoring the inventory of supplies needed and notify supervisor.

Perform the day-to-day activities of the Janitorial Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent.... No experience necessary. On-the-job training will be provided. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, reach for objects and stand and walk for periods of time greater than 20 minutes. Successfully pass physical exam, drug screening and background check. Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical. Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies. Wear and/or use safety equipment and supplies (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts, etc.) when lifting or moving heavy objects. Ensure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing housekeeping/janitorial procedures. Ensure that an adequate supply of housekeeping/janitorial supplies to perform daily tasks is maintained in utility closets. Keep supervisor informed of supply needs. Report burned out light bulbs, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., to your supervisor as soon as practical. Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc., as directed or requested. Clean work/supply carts, equipment, etc., as necessary or directed. Ensure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift. Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed. Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures. Ensure that water marks are removed from fixtures. Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.

Follow direct specific instruction as to food handling and equipment use. Must keep work area clean and sanitary.
