This April, the Carl Wilkens Fellowship was a core partner for #TogetherWeRemember, an annual campaign that commemorates genocide and atrocities to counter hatred and violence at the community level. We helped organize 40 vigil events across 8 countries - in high schools, universities, museums, houses of worship, public spaces, and online. Over 5,000 people in the US, Canada, DR Congo, Rwanda, Zambia, France, Germany, and Cambodia participated in name-readings, survivor test...imonies, interfaith prayers, performances, immersive audio-visual experiences, film screenings, lectures, exhibitions, and collective action.
