This past Saturday, Juan Carlos Alvarez turned 42 years in the floral industry. Carlos was born in Santa Anita, Mexico and was one of 9 children. From the young age of 4 he began working the fields harvesting potatoes, corn, peanuts, & other crops. In 1976, Carlos emigrated to the U.S. with only $33 in his pocket and no formal education. He was given the opportunity at a floral company where he began working in the greenhouses and in no time became the top salesman. He had found his passion! In 1990, he opened up a flower stand which led to establishing Carlos Floral in 2001. The sky’s the limit when you set goals, work hard, stay humble and thank God! #eljefe#orgullomexicano
