Even though Christmas is different this year, and we must be kept apart from loved ones, our dear friends and family are always with us, and the love that connects us is still in our hearts. Let's remember this, and know that we will be back home soon. Here's my song to help us through this difficult time. Merry Christmas, and a better New Year!

Yesterday final walk-thru on listing in San Pedro. Anxiety. Why? Certainly not because of the transaction. Never saw a smoother one. The sellers love the little couple that bought the home. The buyers admire and appreciate how the sellers have developed and cared for the home with its gardens and unpretentious upgrades in the home. A home truly honored by its owners for 48 years. Buyers' realtor a dream to work with and so appreciative. So, why anxiety? I feel this way ve...ry often at a final walk thru. So, as I'm wrestling with this on my 40 minute drive from Fullerton to San Pedro, I started really questioning myself. What is at the root of this very common anxiety? After a few minutes of querying myself, I realized as in this transaction, I'll be saying "goodbye" to the sellers, whom I adore. Probably wont' see them again as they're going to Massachusetts to be with family. Also, saying "goodbye" to this particular experience of the San Pedro area and the exhilerating drive over the St. Vincent Thomas Bridge taking in the birds eye view of thousands upon thousands of multi-colored cargo containers, colossus sized cranes, ships sailing in and out of the harbor. Saying goodbye is hard to do. See more
JUST SOLD!!!!MASKED TO HIDE THEIR IDENTITY! Just kidding. These two lovely ladies and their mother (in law) are very conscious of safety because one of the members of their household has a pre-existing condition. We had three days of showings and 7 offers, sold over full price. If they can do it, so can you!!

Our Summer Project. Thank you Rick Illes! You always do such great work! I love my pergola. The first video was already after a lot of work. Rick had strategically removed some pavers from the patio slab. We had a video, but lost it, showing how Rick put the 2x4's in place. This required both of us to make sure the posts remained the correct height, square and level on all sides as Rick poured in the cement The second picture is about Rick re-cutting the pavers to fit bac...k in around the new posts. It shows how Rick rigged up the hose (you can see the 0n/off switch at the nozzle) to spray onto the tile saw to control the tile dust. The third photo is the next stage-Rick screwing in the beams. You can see the beautiful wood carving he did for the ends. The remaining photos are the finished pergola. We've started putting plantings, including a Golden Chalice grape vine we hope will grow to grace the "roof" top. Doesn't Rick do good stuff?! See more

What does your dream kitchen look like? This is almost exactly the layout of my kitchen, dining and entry way, beyond. I'm using this as my inspiration for my kitchen remodel. I'll keep you updated on my progress!
This was an almost Herculean effort! As you see this is a charming home with a great view, upgraded windows, sharp kitchen, nice yard. It has everything including lots of natural light. There was just one thing.....which were thousands of things. A lifetime of collecting, children's collections, stacks and piles and tchotchkes in every corner, shelf and surface. Because of all this it hadn't gotten a top to bottom cleaning in a long time. So my organizer/stager, the sell...er and I worked for four days straight 10 hour days minimum. In addition, new carpet had to be laid in the living room. Well, if you're going to lay new carpet you almost have to wash walls, ceilings and paint. So we did that too! I don't normally do this hands on work but because of logistics, it became necessary. And the result is most rewarding!! What a joy it is to see a home recovered to its beauty. 1925 Sage Dr. Corona. Proudly offered at $485,000 See more

Yes! I'm a nerd. These graphs have real meaning to me and these particular ones are VERY Good News for Sellers. They tell the story that now we have tremendous recovery from just two months ago, that demand for homes is way more than inventory available. That homes are selling quickly. This is Riverside County and the graphs for OC are the same. Excellent time to sell

It would appear we are approaching Stage 2 of Re-opening here are the stages for re-opening the economy in thumbnail description. The process of reopening will take place in four phases.... We’re still in Stage 1, said Dr. Sonia Angell, the state’s head of public health. That means government and private organizations are working to make it more consistently safe for essential workers, like grocery store employees or nurses. Those workers need more protective equipment and a more robust testing and tracing system. Stage 2 will be when some lower-risk businesses and public spaces can reopen, also with modifications to allow for distancing. Those include workplaces like factories, with more spaced-out work stations, or nongrocery retail stores, but with curbside pickup. Schools and child care facilities would also be reopened during this phase. Dr. Angell added that workers must have enough of a financial safety net including paid sick days to take time off if they have Covid-19. Stage 3 will be when higher-risk businesses will be able to reopen again, with modifications. This includes nail and hair salons, gyms, movie theaters and sports without live audiences, as well as in-person religious services. Stage 4 will be the end of the state’s stay-at-home order. That will be when concerts, conventions and sports with a live crowd will be allowed to reopen.

When you want to know what is actually going on in the housing and real estate market, talk to a Realtor you trust. The media gives us general information and often reports the past 2 weeks to two months even. But for specific, current information regarding any industry, talk to that industry's expert. The fact is we have a housing shortage, demand by buyers has risen since April 30th, we're seeing multiple offers (both my buyers had to compete with other offers this month) We simply don't have enough inventory for all the buyers. If you're thinking about selling you should Zoom with a Realtor and see exactly how the market is performing. Carla Jones, Realtor Reliance RE Svcs. DRE 01258883

In the 1970s everyone had plants in their home. Most people had a plant or plants in every room. During the 80's, 90's and on this habit declined. But it's making a comeback and for good reason. Studies have shown indoor plants: Boost mood, productivity, concentration and creativity... Reduce stress, fatigue, sore throats and colds Clean indoor air by absorbing toxins, increasing humidity and producing oxygen Add life to a sterile office, give privacy and reduce noise levels Are therapeutic and cheaper than a therapist In the 70's everything was back to nature and we really celebrated plants with elaborate shelves and even macrame plant hangers. These are even trending again along with other creative ways of bringing this beneficial life form into our homes.
I have the good fortune of networking and engaging with excellent professionals in an array of industries and services. Valerie Pugsley of Inspired Strategic Solutions is one of those people. AMERISPEC Home Inspections Services This is a sample of how RE is functioning right now A home inspection is a vital part of a home purchase. AmeriSpec believes that home inspections can continue during the COVID-19 outbreak when prudent safety precautions are practiced, and when performing the inspection does not conflict with government orders and recommendations. Everyone involved with the home inspection is responsible for helping with safety. The following advice is bas...ed on current recommendations from the CDC, NIH, & WHO. People should be aware that the situation is changing constantly and should monitor the CDC for official updates and recommended behavior. For Buyers and Real Estate Agents: Do not attend the inspection. If you wish to attend, do so only at the end of the inspection. Do not bring children, relatives, contractors, and others to the inspection. Reschedule the inspection if you wish to attend, and if you feel sick, or if you exhibit symptoms of a respiratory illness. Use hand sanitizer before entering and before leaving the home. Touch as few things in the home as possible. For Sellers: Reschedule the inspection if anyone in the home feels sick, or exhibits symptoms of a respiratory illness. Do not attend the inspection. Make arrangements for children, relatives, and others to be out of the home during the inspection. Wipe bathroom and kitchen fixtures, toilet handles, and doorknobs with a sanitizing wipe before the inspection. Be sure the wipe instructions allow use on the surface.
