ER nurses always think on their feet, but this nurse even jumped into action when he was enjoying a round with his friends. "This guy just walked by us, and he kind of had this look on his face, but we didn't really think anything much of it just because we're in a bar, and that's kind of expected everybody's there having a good time," Pereira said. "But he took 10-15 steps to the left of us, and then he just collapsed."
"I knew that this was for me. I understood from my own suffering how to sympathize with these patients. They trust me," Hiskias said. "I do not fear death. My experience made me an instrument for others."
"Gil is one of the first patients in Philadelphia to get COVID-19, but her biggest concern was never her own health, it was when she'd be able to go back to work. "She just wanted to be able to be here to do what she was trained to do and I think again that spirit embodies all of the nurses here at Jefferson," said Jeff Doucette, the chief nursing officer for the hospital."
"Perez has administered thousands of chemotherapy treatments to numerous patients for more than a decade. Having that much hands-on experience, she can’t help but form strong relationships with her patients."
"A Massachusetts woman is showing the world the true meaning of perseverance after she worked her way up from being a custodian at a local hospital to now treating its patients as a nurse practitioner."

"I desire to be a nurse especially during this pandemic because I really believe nurses are frontline heroes, Baker said. I want to take all the training and knowledge being passed down to me and use it to help humanity. The type of critical thinking it takes to be a nurse is challenging yet rewarding when it saves a person's life."

Interesting study about the impact of mobile health clinics on both the community and nursing students. From the abstract: "Students developed nursing skills, including leadership, cultural awareness, active listening, critical thinking, effective communication, and collaboration. In the first 4 years of operation, 30 students have been assigned to the mobile clinic and approximately 2,250 visitors received free health care."
