We are moving equipment on the daily at C. A. Rasmussen. Our crews couldn’t succeed without the right equipment and we want to thank our dispatch and driving team for doing what it takes to get us the tools we need.

Did you know Mammoth Mountain received over 8 feet of snow this week. Here is a throwback picture of a Rasmussen Dozer that was buried in snow at Mammoth Mountain in the 80's.

Yes that’s a giant roller coaster behind us. The paving crew had a great day laying 800 TNS in 6 hours in a narrow slot for a new electric vehicle path. Great job guys!

Prepared to pour three different types of curbs details in 1 days. Having two curb machines will only require us to do one mold chnge during the shift keeping production moving during the day.

Itzeli Garcia, is a student at California State University Northridge and currently interning for C.A. Rasmussen. Itzeli has spent her internship both in the office and in the field. Her time in the field was reporting to Project Manager Jesus Garcia working on the Hwy 138 Caltrans project helping to process extra work bills and process purchase orders. In the office she assisted the estimating team doing take-off and observing bid closings. A common comment from our Interns is that being in the field has been their most memorable experience. Itzeli really enjoyed watching the progress we made during her time in the field. Being involved in that progress was really cool. C. A. Rasmussen actively recruits interns from various schools, offer boots on the ground experience, and helping Rasmussen develop future leaders in our company.

Ryan Dougher, is a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and currently interning for C.A. Rasmussen. Ryan is working on the Port of Long Beach South Harbor Scenic Dr project. He is working alongside Project Manager Tom Morrison and Project Engineer Jesse Gonzales. Ryan is learning to create submittals, RFI’s and performing quantity take-offs to ensure accuracy for material orders for the project. Hands-on experience is a big part of the Internship program at C. A. Rasmussen. Ry...an’s favorite part of his internship was observing the Asphalt paving operation, and he looks forward to the structural steel work for the observation platforms that will begin prior to the end of his summer. C. A. Rasmussen actively recruits interns from various schools, offer boots on the ground experience, and helping Rasmussen develop future leaders in our company.

GPS machine control is the standard for rough and fine grading. Utilizing in house modeling we are able to help our customers develop a plan that best fits their needs.

Working in the Port of Long Beach has many advantages including the view our paving crew had this day.
