Captain On Board

Scheduled to fly to Cabo and bring back the Viking tomorrow. Boss had the 10th as our departure date. I kept telling him, "it doesn't work like that?!" So, if we follow the "schedule", we would be right in the middle of hurricane Sergio. Airline tickets refunded for the crew, yes a hurricane is an acceptable excuse for a last minute cancel.

As custom as custom gets. The space above this front pilothouse window was never meant to be used for anything, but what prime real estate. I couldn't resist. Mounting the 2nd VHF away from the VHF on the lower starboard dash will make it easier to discern between the two.

Overwhelming how much custom is going into this TowBoatUS job. So much glass, sanding, priming, non-skid etc. Then custom hatches, windows, fold down light mast and new cleats. Every wire is new, so many circuits and connections. 2 fuse panels, port and starboard (almost full). Once all the connections are made and tested, I'll clean up the wiring and label everything.

Big day. Steering in, bled and done. New fluid fill added making adding steering fluid a no brainer. New 13' steering wheel. New custom gauge panel, cut in with a pattern. Shifter/throttle in and cables connected. Not bad for a holiday.

Hatch made in one day. Now just prime, sand and paint. Perfect fit.
