There is light at the end of the COVID tunnel. Over the last month we’ve had great news with the approval of multiple, highly effective vaccines. It will take a few months before they are fully distributed, but most experts expect the COVID virus to be generally behind us by next summer. While this has been an extremely difficult experience, the US economy is going to come out of this crisis in much better shape than we have come out of any other economic crisis in recent tim...es. The ‘roaring 20s’ followed the pandemic of 1918. Could 2021 and 2022 enjoy extremely strong spending from consumers with great pent up demand for goods, services, and new experiences? I wouldn’t bet against it. But we need to get from where we are now through a few tough months of winter before we come out to a more promising future. Now is the time to not only dig down and focus on the immediate challenges that many businesses face, but also the time to focus on new opportunities that are opening up quickly. Out of crisis comes opportunities. We want to make sure that Capstone Advisors is doing everything we can to help our tenant’s businesses thrive, whatever the difficulties or opportunities that come our way.
