No one wants chaos, which in turn impacts borrowers and the credit markets and impacts our business. Counting and verifying votes correctly is not a sign of chaos. And all indications point to Treasury rates staying relatively low for quite some time, further helping borrowers and lenders. One consequence of the recession triggered by COVID-19: An April report from Fannie Mae projects existing home sales will fall by roughly 15% in 2020. Homeownership tenure has steadily increased since the 2007-09 recession, according to data from real-estate research firm Attom Data Solutions; data released by the U.S. Census Bureau in November showed Americans moving at the lowest rate since the government starting keeping track. Stimulus check update.
Rates are down. Loan limits are up. I just priced a refinance on a 30 year fixed on a loan of $510,400 @ 3.625% (no points). For a cash-out refinance of the same size the rate was 3.875%.
