Stepping into my shoes everyday has presented its challenges,but I refuse not to show up ready to walk in this lifetime. It was my hardest Father’s Day for clear reasons for your imagination to determine,but the model I’m in the process of creating will resonate for generations to come. It’s never about me. It’s about the work and the process which always leads me back to why I must do this. These two young men,my students, my closest friends,my family, and for those who suffer like me. You are my WHY. Blessed to be alive and present enough to even wake up and attempt to walk in these shoes. Only size 12 but at times they feel like the deepest depths of the ocean. There was a time when I thought things where over because I failed. I see that failing is the beginning steps to success and maybe my intended life is just beginning. I’m so grateful to have the space to see my kids faces and their smiles when I show them new things. It’s an honor to be showing up in this new way regardless of my circumstances. It won’t be easy, but never have I been knocked down and not gotten back up. My dad says, I’m like a cat. I always land on my feet! Here’s to 43 and beyond! Thank you for all the birthday wishes.
