Floating has a dramatic & positive affect on stress & anxiety. 2020 has been weird. Weird times cause stress. Anxiety comes up, lingering there like a little shadow, even when the sun is shining. ... Some of the most effective ways to cope with stress and anxiety are actually...to allow the feelings to be there, without trying to change them. Seems counterintuitive, but studies show this to be true. The float tank is an environment where it's safe to feel your feelings. Floating in this warm, supportive water, where distractions cease to exist, you can find home inside yourself. Where it's okay to be who you are, even if you feel anxious sometimes. And, somehow...in the courageous act of allowing the stuff to come up...you can let it go. We're not exactly sure how it works. But we know it does. Its why we're here See more

How does floating support your nervous system? Research has shown that immersion, especially warm water immersion, has a unique effect upon the autonomic nervous system, the part of the central nervous system that controls essential respiratory, cardiac, and vascular systems. A relaxation effect is produced, bringing the autonomic system into optimal balance. This autonomic balance has been associated with a reduction in blood pressure, improvement in endoc...rine function, and even improved mood and cognitive function.
