National Make A Dog’s Day on October 22nd provides an opportunity to give all dogs the best day of their lives. The day not only encourages visits to shelters, but it is also a reminder to animal lovers everywhere to adopt instead of shop for a new pet. Zena was adopted from our local shelter, Animal Friends of the Valley, and has successfully completed her service dog training. She will soon be placed with a Veteran at no charge through our PAWZ for Wounded Vets program. Zena's success shows us there are incredible dogs available from shelters. Separation anxiety is an annoying behavior we don’t want.
