Love when a guest comes in and wears out all the dogs so I can get them to focus on their training. Best downstays of the week! Thanks Maggi.
What a patient Mom.
Met up with The Mann Clan on Belle's last day of training and handed her over to the boys.
Yes, I will board them.
Everyone was very happy to have sunshine after our 2 inches of rain on Monday.
Friday Night Lights. Bindi and Luna not real impressed since they weren't allowed to go chase the soccer balls with the kids. Mickey and Unicorn were with us, they also felt they should be on the field helping the kids.
Having a run of darling black and white puppies this week. Quinn in for a training mini camp. They always arrive so clean. Doesn't last long....
Who could be hiding under the towel?
Dog Park Pile. No one offered to help me load them, but people seemed entertained by us.
Wyatt came this morning, and we had a fantastic morning work. There's really only one way to kid proof a dog, and I feel very fortunate to have these great kids come and help the dogs become the best they can be.
Not sure what it is about running water, the noise, the movement or the oxygen? Perhaps it seems like fresh snow with no tracks, the first dog with dirty feet in wins!
Wicket and Ahsoka enjoying their storm breaks. Everyone else awaiting their turn at house manner work while watching football.
Cain's last training day.
Three new students, Wicket and Ahsoka behind the gate, Luna in the middle, and starting his final week in the front, Cain.
The soccer field with kids, food and other dogs was a little much for Cain, so we tried ranch distraction today.
Working from home.... #iorestoacasa #stayathome #workingfromhome #smartworking
Cain the Corso, and Penny the Puggle have been wildly enjoying our brief fall weather, hope everyone else is taking advantage of this gift, as well.
When considering a new family pet, the most important things are patience, kindness and the intelligence and instincts to avoid any possible trouble. Kids who don't always know the best way to express their love and devotion, so having a pet who is tolerant, but knows how to get out of the way is a very good thing. This dog, Hank, is perhaps the best I've ever seen at it.
Elton had many fans while in for training, and he lived up to his expectations. Much as we'll miss him, it was so gratifying to see him be so good for his wildly enthusiastic family. I miss him already!!
If you're fortunate enough to have a young puppy who doesn't get over stimulated with food, use very small amounts to help them focus. Just remember to wipe their little faces so that they don't get stung by wasps, like sweet Cain did!
Welcome Cornelia, our newest student. Thank you to her family for giving her cousin, Hank, a ride back to Jamul by way of Orange County and their Dad's birthday party. Great family, wonderful puppy!
Grace came in for a fitness vacation, haven't been able to let them really run much this week until today. Her after shots should be impressive. Thanks to Hank for helping her out!
Today thankfully the last of the extreme heat. Block ice in your dog pools, water for birds and bees, extra salt for your horses, so glad we don't have this heat very often!
Easier to do a down stay with company. Hank holding Pepper in place.
