On the cover of the latest OnCenter issue, we meet Jeannette Shade and learn her story of overcoming stage 3 rectal cancer. At age 58, Jeannette received a positive result after experiencing symptoms she could no longer shrug off. Once connected with a gastroenterologist, colorectal surgeon, medical and radiation oncologists, patient navigator and a team of specialists, Jeannette was able to walk through her cancer journey with a local team right beside her and within a 5 min...utes’ drive.
