Exciting [and bittersweet] news: Our very own Tania Ventura was awarded an Immigrants Rising Fellowship! She will spend the next two years helping undocumented ...high school students seek higher education, access financial support, and understand immigration options. Tania has supported our organization and community of students during three years of incredible growth. If you've gone through a student orientation, received a laptop, processed a scholarship application, attended a conversation club, or just needed help with absolutely anything, she was your person. No one sums it up better than our Founder and current Board Member Elizabeth Weal: "Our ability to serve an ever-growing number of students could not and would not have happened without Tania’s attention to detail, creative problem solving, and extraordinary commitment to Upward Scholars students."
