State Parks rangers are reporting that more campers are using their own camping toilets now, likely due to concerns about COVID-19. And eeyeww, people are filli...ng dumpsters with improperly treated (or not at all) human waste. This creates a public health problem. Not to mention, a seriously gross situation for staff and sanitation workers who deal with the dumpsters. So, here's what to do with your poo, doo or whatever you call it: Untreated, raw human waste must be disposed of at the park's trailer dump station not in dumpsters. Waste with a commercial coagulant (think "human kitty litter") added must be securely DOUBLE BAGGED and can be placed in dumpsters. Please do your part to keep parks clean and safe for you, your fellow campers and our staff. Dispose of your waste safely!
